My very first sneak peek: prints

January 24, 2011 § Leave a comment

I was about to write an entry that would include my ever growing list of projects that are currently happening in my life. But I decided to save that for another day (honestly, it was turning into a pretty stressful entry).

Instead I wanted to share with you one of my work in progress projects! Some of you know my utter obsession with letterpresses and all prints in general (I love trees, but goddamn I love paper too). Those of you who don’t, well you just have never seen me casually feel up every single piece of stationary within arms reach to see if it’s embossed or bury my nose in a magazine or old book just to smell the ink and paper. I have no shame in my infatuation with printed items.

Long story short, here are a few of my newest print projects that include some of my favorite quotes from my favorite poets, bands, movies, authors. One of my recent projects include opening up an online store by the end of February (that will include my jewelry, jewelry displays, prints, handcrafted lamps and more). These will hopefully be included in that store.

“The purpose of life is to be defeated by greater and greater things”  Rainer Maria Rilke (Letters to a Young Poet)

“I want to do to you what spring does to the cherry trees” Pablo Neruda (Ode and Burgeonings)

“In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make” The Beatles (The End)

”Les temps sont durs pour les rêveurs” or “Times are tough for dreamers” Amelie

First of many sneak peeks. More to come soon!
